Hawaiian Language Online

The Hawaiian language uses two diacritical markings: the ʻokina and kahakō (macron). The UH Mānoa templates were created so Hawaiian diacriticals display correctly in the following browsers:

  • Firefox: all versions
  • Internet Explorer: 5, 6, 7 & 8 for Windows
  • Opera
  • Safari: Windows and Mac OS X
  • Google Chrome

To use Hawaiian diacriticals, insert the corresponding code in the HTML code.
