Automatic Withdrawal (No Show)
Faculty will verify attendance of students registered in their courses by the end of the first week of each semester. Students who fail to attend class ("no show") will be dropped from that class and students who are receiving financial aid will have their aid recalculated accordingly.

Attending Class
If you register for a class but stop attending without officially withdrawing, you will receive an "F" or "NC" grade, as appropriate. Some departments require you to attend the first class meeting or your space may be assigned to another student and you will need to drop the class to avoid a grade of "F."

Cancelled Classes
If one of your classes is cancelled, the University will make every attempt to notify you through the academic department as soon as possible so that you can add a different class by the deadline to register.

If You do not Enroll in Classes
You must register and complete at least one course offered by UH Mānoa or Mānoa Outreach College in order to maintain your student status at UH Mānoa. Students who do not complete at least one course (i.e., drop or withdraw from all classes) must reapply for admission to UH Mānoa. If you only register for courses from another campus in the UH system, your Home Institution will be changed to that campus and you must reapply for admission to UH Mānoa.

Undergraduate students may visit the Admissions website for re-admission information. Classified graduate and post-baccalaureate unclassified students may visit the Office of Graduate Education website.
