Pre-Health/Pre-Law Advising Center
The Pre-Health/Pre-Law Advising Center (PAC), formerly known as the Professions Advising Center, is a walk-in resource center for students interested in law, medicine (allopathic, chiropractic, naturopathic, osteopathic, podiatric), or the health sciences (dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, etc.).
We're here to help!
PAC is staffed by peer advisors trained to help you clarify your career goals, choose a major, plan appropriate coursework, research professional programs, find opportunities to gain experience, and apply to schools. Come in and get started on the right track towards your professional career!
No appointment is necessary!
Come in for advising or to use resources any time PAC is open. Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

PAC will be closed for the following holidays:
- Veteran's Day (Wednesday, November 11)
- Thanksgiving Weekend (Thursday-Friday, November 26-27)
- Christmas & New Year's Break (December 21-January 1)
We will re-open for the spring semester Welcome Week on Monday, January 4, 2010.
Mandatory Advising
First, Second, and Third Semester Students must fulfil the mandatory advising requirement in order to register for Spring 2010.
Please take note: PAC will be closed when presenting mandatory advising sessions for third semester students and ACE Clusters, so check the calendar below and plan accordingly. You may call us at (808) 956-4045 to make an appointment for mandatory advisng.
First Semester Students:
Mandatory advising for first semester students is ongoing.
To fulfil your mandatory advising requirement, bring in your completed 4-year academic plan and show it to a peer advisor at PAC to fulfil your mandatory advising requirment. If you have not made a 4-year academic plan, come in to create one with one of the PAC advisors. You may create a 4-year academic plan on your own before coming in by following the tutorial on this website. Once we check to make sure your plan will keep you on track, we will clear you for Spring 2010 registration.

Second and Third Semester Students:
Sign up for a 30-minute PAC CV-Building Workshop to fulfil your mandatory advising requirement. The CV-Building workshop is a continuation of last semester's Sophomore Experience and will give you the tools needed to create and maintain your resume or CV. This tool will help you when applying to professional schools, programs, and future jobs!
To reserve a seat, you may walk in to PAC (QLCSS 101) and speak to one of the peer advisors, call (956-4045), or send an email (uhpac@hawaii.edu) with your full name, desired date/time, and your student ID number.

Nursing Admission Examination Dates Posted
The UH Mānoa School of Nursing offers Nursing Entrance Test (NET) and National League for Nursing Pre-Admission Examination (NLN-PAX).
- Students applying for admission to the UHM School of Nursing must take the NLN-PAX.
