Course Evaluation Committe

Charge

The Course Evaluation Committee (CEC) was established in Fall 2005 by the OVCAA to examine the current functions and methods of course assessment at Manoa, and assure that course evaluation is used to enhance the pedagogical environment of Manoa’s classes. To that end the CEC was charged with developing a measurement model for course assessment that 1) was more strongly tied to student learning outcomes and students' experience with the pedagogical environment rather than student affective or attitudinal responses to courses; and 2) was deliverable online via the CAFE system (currently under development). In addition, the CEC is to develop policy that would reframe course evaluation efforts within a context of instructor pedagogical training and enhancement.
