Council of Academic Advisors
The Council of Academic Advisors serves as a forum for the discussion and consistent implementation of academic policies and procedures across the various academic units of the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. The Council was formed under the aegis of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and consists of representatives from each Manoa advising unit. The Council was established in October 2002. Its additional responsibilities include:
- Serve as a forum to exchange and share information about advising across the various units at UHM.
- Move the campus towards greater consistency in student advising with respect to interpreting campus policies for students.
- Serve as an adjudicating body to resolve conflicts among units regarding student advising practices and interpretation of academic policy.
