The demand for professionals with data analytics skills, knowledge and experience are more critical than ever in determining the future success of a business.

Top companies such as Nike, Starbucks, Capital One and recent startups like Airbnb and Uber are using data analytics to help understand the needs, likes and habits of its customers. The demand is not confined to established businesses or startups. Industries such as government, health and education are also looking for individuals that have the right combination of technical, analytical and business skills that can help them achieve a new level of success.

This Fall, the School of Accountancy at the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business is offering a Data Analytics Training Program for those interested in gaining practical skills and knowledge in business intelligence and visual analytics. The program is designed for executives, managers and employees from all industries and organizations.

The registration fee for the 15-hour program is $250 for professionals. Shidler students may take the class for credit and will not be required to pay the registration fees. All other students will be required to pay the $250 registration fee. Group rates are also available for reservations of 10 or more.

The program takes place over two weekends: September 17-18 and 24-25, 2016, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shidler College of Business on the UH Mānoa campus.
