For the second year, University of Hawai‘i Bookstores released $25,000 in scholarship funds to support students enrolled at any campus within the University of Hawai‘i System.

The inaugural 2015 UH Bookstores Scholarship received more than 2,900 eligible applicants through UH System Financial Aid. Thirteen winners were selected in Fall 2015 and awarded $1,000 toward part-time tuition or $2,000 for full-time tuition at their UH campus.

Eligibility for the 2016 UH Bookstores Scholarship is based upon the following criteria:

  • Recipients shall be a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in any area of study attending any campus within the University of Hawaiʻi System or an incoming freshman who has been accepted and committed to enroll in the University of Hawaiʻi System
  • Recipients shall have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above
  • Recipients shall have some degree of financial need, not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines
