The University of Hawaiʻi Counseling and Student Development Center presents "Tongue Fu!® with Self-Confidence" with Gwen Fujie on Tuesday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the UH Mānoa Campus Center Ballroom.

This is a valuable and powerful course for any individual, organization, or team who aspires to speak with confidence. Based on author Sam Horn‘s books, "What‘s Holding You Back?" and "Tongue Fu!," this course will teach you how to empower yourself with five communication success skills, help you and others find solutions, not fault, and learn to turn resentment into rapport with a better choice of words and phrases.

Fujie will share some of her own techniques for resolving conflict from her experience as a director of guest relations in one of Hawaiʻi‘s largest healthcare facilities. Certified to in 1999 to teach Tongue Fu!®, Fujie has presented programs to more than 10,000 people. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, her experience living and working in a culturally diverse multi-ethnic community enhances her effectiveness as a speaker and her ability to relate to and understand her audience.
