Finalists for new Dean of CTAHR will visit UH Mānoa campus

Four finalists have been identified for the position of Dean of the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and Director for Research and Cooperative Extension at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. The four are scheduled to participate in a three-day period of visits that covers college department discussions; meetings with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students and members of their respective professions; and a public presentation. The visit will also include a one-day visit to the Big Island.
 
Campus and community members, as well as the general public, are encouraged to attend.
 
The campus visits of the four candidates have been scheduled as follows:
 
Dr. Andrew Thulin, visiting January 18-20

Dr. Maria Gallo, visiting February 13-15

“The Search Advisory Committee has done an excellent job of identifying a pool of highly qualified candidates,” said Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw. Added Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Reed Dasenbrock, “The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources is central to UH Mānoa’s efforts at reaching out and serving the entire state. Current Interim Dean Sylvia Yuen has done a great job over the past two years as Interim Dean, providing leadership and positioning CTAHR for the future.  We have a strong pool of candidates from whom to select the next dean who will continue to move CTAHR forward.”
