Film events at UH Manoa to bring awareness of cycling benefits

Cycle Mānoa, the resident bicycle recycling program at UH Mānoa, invites enthusiasts to learn more about how the two-wheeled wonder can be used as a vehicle for positive change. Attend two nights of bike-themed short films, then join in discussions with panels of advocates, activists and bicycle enthusiasts.
 
What:                          Pedaling Forward: A Night of Film and Inspiration, including panel discussion
When:                         Monday, April 4, 6-7:30 p.m.
Where:                        Art Auditorium 101
Films:                          Broken Road and Cycle Manoa Works (both by local filmmakers), Ghost Bike, Changing Bogota: Ciclovia, The Tomorrows
 
What:                          With My Own Two Wheels film screening and discussion
When:                         Saturday, April 9, 7-8:30 p.m. 
Where:                        Art Auditorium 132
Note:                           Immediately following the film, there will be a Q&A session  with producer and
                                    co-director Jacob Seigel-Boettners
 
Both events are hosted by Cycle Manoa (cyclemanoa.org), and the UH Mānoa Departments of Urban and Regional Planning, and Art and Art History. 
 
Donations of bicycles, parts and tools will be accepted at both events.
 
Free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
