Practice SAT, ACT and PSAT exams offered on March 12

The University of Hawai`i at Mānoa Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) and Mānoa Educational Talent Search Program, in partnership with Kaplan Testing and Admissions, will offer practice SAT, PSAT and ACT exams for students in grades 9-12 on Saturday, March 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Shidler College of Business.
 
This practice session is open to all public, private and charter schools. Registration is online at www.jotform.com/ksolomon4/HCOP. Deadline to register is Thursday, March 10, 2011. On-campus parking costs $5.
 
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with testing to start at 9. Students should bring photo identification, two #2 pencils, calculator (no cell phone calculators allowed), a small snack and water. 
 
A donation of $5, to cover the cost of testing materials, will be collected at the door. Checks may be made payable to Friends of Operation Manong.
 
On the same day, there will be an ‘ohana orientation for parents and family members beginning at 9:30 a.m. in George Hall 227. UH Mānoa representatives, including student speakers, will be on-hand to speak about a wide range of topics, such as college admission, financial aid and student life.  
 
Practice test scores, which are unofficial and therefore not recorded, will be available on Saturday, April 2, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business courtyard.
