Alyssa Moreau will share some cool summer recipes, cool cooking techniques and cool foods that beat the summer heat and fall Kona weather.   Enjoy some healthy and delicious recipes perfect for an island appetite and keeping you and your kitchen cool!  Moreau will feature a hearty layered salad and creamy basil dressing, cooling blender soup, refreshing raw-nut wraps and carob-date rolls. 

Class meets Saturday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Call (808) 988-0461 to register for classes. Cost is $25 per class. 

The Lyon Arboretum is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Arboretum is closed on state and federal holidays. Admission to the gardens is free.
