On the first day of disbursement of financial aid for the fall 2009 semester, the University of Hawai‘i System successfully disbursed over $27 million in financial aid to students at all ten UH campuses. This represents an increase of over 50 percent from the comparable first day disbursement for fall 2008.
Financial aid is provided from federal, state and internal UH resources based on both merit and financial need. In spite of substantial budget reductions and record enrollments, UH is committed to try to provide all qualified residents with access to high quality educational opportunities and the financial assistance they need to attend the UH campus best suited to advance their hopes and dreams.
