High Tech Hawaii Launches 10th Season with "Podcasting"

Show features Hawaii experts who will answer questions about this new high-tech buzz

HONOLULU — The 10th season of High Tech Hawaiʻi, a live monthly call-in show produced by the University of Hawaiʻi to shed light on high-tech activities within the state, will open with a stimulating and informed review of podcasting, "Podcasting": What's the Big Deal?" on August 23. The show will feature one of Hawaiʻi's foremost technology pundits, Peter Kay, along with local "New Media" guru Ryan K. Ozawa, and podcasting expert Todd Cochrane, who literally "wrote the book" on podcasting. Join host UH Chief Information Officer David Lassner as these three guests illuminate how podcasting works, how it's being used, what's happening with podcasting in Hawaiʻi, and how you can get started as a podcast consumer or producer.

High Tech Hawaiʻi airs live on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the academic year from 8 to 9 p.m. High Tech Hawaiʻi can be seen on PEG Access cable channel 55 throughout the state. It is cablecast live on all islands except Maui where it is tape-delayed. A live webcast is available anywhere on the Internet at http://www.hawaii.edu/dl/hth.
