Mānoa Advising Center students, those who are undecided and pre-majors, are assigned to an academic advisor based on the first letter of their last name. This allows for consistent and continuous advising, and a stronger advisor-student partnership.

Peer advisors are vital members of the Mānoa Advising Center staff. They are individually selected and specially trained by the academic advisors and provide advising on academic requirements, referrals, and other assistance. Peer advisors are students, just like you, so they have an understanding of college life from a similar perspective.

Make An Appointment
We make appointments on a same day basis only. Either come in person to make an appointment or make an appointment over the phone at (808) 956-7273 from 8:30am to 9:30am (except Wednesdays).
The Mānoa Advising Center (MAC) provides academic advising for students who are undecided on a major or pre-majors (i.e. working towards admission into a major program which has pre-requisite requirements). We assist students with major selection, academic planning and scheduling, and provide a cross-campus perspective on the over 80 majors offered at UHM.
Students with a declared major are referred to their college and major advisors for advising. Click [here] for a listing of college/department contact information.
For MAC students (undecided and pre-major), we provide advising on an appointment basis. To schedule an appointment, we recommend visiting our office in QLC 101 during regular hours. If you are unable to come in person to schedule, you may call us at the phone number listed below between 8:30am to 9:30am Monday-Friday (except Wednesday). However, due to the high volume of students, we first address in-person requests then respond to phone inquiries in the order they are received.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, you must contact our office in advance to cancel or reschedule. Students who do not show for appointments are closely monitored by MAC advisors.
