- Mamo Kim has been involved in helping usher in some of the more productive changes that mark the great potential of this campus. She has been an effective leader in our community and on the Manoa campus as a past ASUH President, GSO President and as a Special Advisor in the Chancellor's Office. She helped bring in some of the more progressive aspects of the current strategic plan with Karl Kim's team and She is an inspiring speaker. She will undoubtedly have an inspiring and interesting specch for our students that I am sure they will find worth hearing.

- Dr. Capra's interdisciplinary approach to environmental sustainability is ushering in an ethical revolution the framework of which is not only imperative for those making the transition from the halls of academia to "real world" experience, but also for the next generation of scientists, philosophers, businesspeople, students and academicians, politicians, religious leaders and activists who see survivability in cooperation and compassion rather than competition and exploitation.

- Jim should deliver the commencement address as a former UH Alumni undergraduate and EMBA graduate. He's faced many professional challenges and have persevered over the years. He's motivational, inspirational, and an excellent role model. As Dave Shojii quoted, "He bleeds green" and has been a faithful UH supporter throughout his life since moving from California to Hawaii to play football. University of Hawaii is his home and he speaks words of wisdom to many. I highly nominate Jim to be a speaker for my Fall commencement.

- Jim is an educator, futurist, business advisor, and author. He was an adjunct faculty member of the School of Architecture several years ago.
He is a former chief executive of the National American Institute of Architects in Washington DC. Today, Jim heads the Greenway Group, a think-tank that works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary network of design, product, and construction leaders committed to the advancing of the Architect/Engineer/Construction industry.
Because of his unique career background, leadership skills, and innovative/future thinking, I nominate James P. Cramer to be a part of the commencement excercises.

- As the president of ALA she is a supporter of education, especially higher education. Libraries are essential tools in our society. She is the perfect candidate for commencement speaker.

- His writing and research on the food and agriculture system in the U.S. has had profound impacts on the attitudes surrounding the whole system. Changing the way we view this system in the U.S could better both public health and the environment dramatically.

3.) She majored in Sociology. It's about time UH Manoa have a speaker representing this wonderful department.
