Chancellor's Office

Welcome to my office here at UH Mānoa!

On these pages you will find campus periodic updates, information on my plans and priorities for UH Mānoa, and contact information for me and my staff. I strongly believe in communicating our efforts to the community because, by doing so, the community can understand our contributions and support us with its many voices and resources.

My major activities include listening and learning and, at the same time, absorbing the culture of UH Mānoa. You will often see me out and about on the campus—I always wear a nametag, so I encourage you to introduce yourself and share your views. My efforts are focused on fulfilling the goals and maintaining the values of UH Mānoa—and each one of you is part of that endeavor.

As I've said before it's a privilege and a joy to serve as the Chancellor of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and to be part of this campus community. Let me repeat my fervent belief that, by working together, we can accomplish many new advances for our campus community.

As always we welcome your comments and feedback. Please let us know how we are doing.

Mahalo,

Virginia S. Hinshaw, PhD
Chancellor, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
