Named for the famous Hawaiʻi painter, the John Young Museum of Art opened in 1999 in historic Krauss Hall. The museum's collection highlights UH Mānoa's commitment to Asia and the Pacific region with pieces from China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands.
