Mānoa Merit Scholarship
Manoa Merit Scholarship
There is a maximum of 100 scholarships valued at $5,000 annually ($2,500/semester) that will be awarded to high-achieving high school graduates who are entering UHM the fall semester following their high school graduation.

Mānoa Chancellor's Scholarship

Manoa Chancellor's Scholarship
A maximum of 80 scholarships of $10,000 annually ($5,000/semester) will be awarded by the Office of Admissions to high-achieving Hawaiʻi high school graduates. To be considered, students must meet the priority deadline for Fall admission (Jan. 5), the scholarship requirements, and be accepted to UH Manoa. A separate application is required.
Eligibility
  • Admitted as a classified full-time first-year freshman to UH Mānoa.
  • A 3.5 cumulative high school grade point average as calculated by the UH Mānoa Office of Admissions.
  • A 1600 SAT combined score or 25 ACT Composite score (including the writing section).
  • Evidence of superior academic achievement or creative endeavor.
  • Record of academic, co-curricular, and community service activities.
  • Graduate from a Hawaiʻi high school.

Regents Scholarship
Regents Scholarship
Regents Scholarships are awarded to outstanding freshmen who achieve high academic standards (SAT/ACT, GPA, challenging high school courses) and whose extracurricular achievements are shown to be remarkable.  Regents Scholars receive a full tuition waiver for four years of undergraduate study, receive $4,000 annually and a one-time travel grant of $2,000.
Eligibility
  • SAT combined score of at least 1950 on all three sections of the test or ACT combined score of at least 29
  • Maintain at least a 3.5 GPA in academic subjects in high school
  • Remarkable extra-curricular achievements

Doctor of Medicine Early Acceptance Program
Doctor of Medicine Early Acceptance Program
The JABSOM Scholars: A Doctor of Medicine Early Acceptance Program (DMEAP) for Entering Hawaiʻi Resident Freshman is a joint program offered by The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), and Undergraduate Programs at UHM. The primary goal of DMEAP is to commit access to JABSOM to outstanding high school graduates throughout the State of Hawaiʻi who have demonstrated exceptional ability and commitment to pursuing a medical degree. DMEAP will select up to 10 individuals and prepare them to become exemplary physicians through a quality undergraduate education.
Eligibility
  • Be a resident of the State of Hawaiʻi as determined by UH's Hawaiʻi Residency Requirements
  • Have a minimum high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 or higher
  • Have a minimum combined SAT score of 1800 (critical reading/mathematics/writing) and/or a minimum ACT composite score of 27 (including the writing section)
  • Have completed or currently in-progress college preparatory pre-calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics
Desirable experiences include:
  • Advanced placement (AP) credits
  • Demonstration of achievement in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities

Incoming Transfer Scholarships (UH System Transfers)
BOR Presidential Scholarship
BOR Presidential Scholarship
Beginning in Academic year 2014-2015, our Presidential Scholarships are being refocused across the UH System to support the transfer of UH community college students who are transferring to UH baccalaureate campuses as juniors. Because this is a transitional year for the Presidential Scholarships, any Mānoa junior level student may apply for this upcoming academic year, 2014-2015, with preference being awarded to those students who fulfill the refocused goal of the Presidential Scholarships.

The Presidential Scholarships are awarded to outstanding University of Hawaiʻi juniors who achieve high academic standards while at their institution. Presidential Scholarship awardees receive a full tuition waiver for two years, receive $4,000 a year and a one-time travel grant of $2,000.

Eligibility
  • 3.7 minimum cumulative GPA for all college level work
  • A record of sustained progress in academic courses
  • Evidence of superior academic achievement or creative endeavor
